One of my favourite times of the working week is a relatively leisurely breakfast watching a bit of morning television (for the news, of course), before the mad rush of showering, getting dressed and running for the bus. Bella and Onslow seem to enjoy it too. They have a bit of a snooze, but there is usually one eye on me as they wait for me to finish my bowl of muesli and then get to finish off any leftover milk as their morning treat
.
I think I'm getting a bit soppy because I will soon be heading off for a while, and I do miss them when I'm away.
Those two are soooooo cute together. They're gonna miss you too, but think about when you're all together again, how much fun it will be.
ReplyDeleteThat's true - lots of welcome home licks, tail wagging and cuddles.
DeleteOnslow has perfected the art of big sad puppy eyes and Bella is so cuddly. You couldn't help but spoil them a bit.
ReplyDeleteToo true! One of my girlfriends said Onslow was the saddest puppy in the world, but he doesn't have much to be sad about. He is dearly loved.
ReplyDeleteDear Marisa,
ReplyDeleteI'm delighted to meet you and of course your darling Onslow & Bella! Thank you so very much for following my blog. You'll find that my black lab Gracie often makes an appearance and often joins me in the garden. I look forward to following you here and in your garden too!
Best,
Lisa
Thanks, Lisa. I'm only a new follower, but I am loving your blog and look forward to browsing back through your library of posts.
DeleteHey Marisa,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for being such a regular on Chicory Chai :) Your comments I value.
I have very recently started keeping my own plants since I have more space in my new house. I can now relate to you better!
Glad to be connected.
Himani
Himani, your photographs are so beautiful. I find the colours and culture of India so inspirational. Thanks for sharing.
DeleteYour two darlings are so sweet. At least they have each other for company when you are away. Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Heidi. You too. It is a beautiful winter's day here in Brisbane.
DeleteSweet, sweet puppies. Of course you must miss them a lot when you have to be away. In this house, Cuddles gets the leftover cereal milk. :)
ReplyDeleteI certainly do miss them, and it makes me extra sad when I see some of the animals, especially dogs, and the hard lives they lead in some countries. Saw the most gorgeous young pup, who was a bit sick, here (Thailand) today. Hope he has a home and is loved.
DeleteMarisa, those two are gorgeous;
ReplyDeleteI think so too, but maybe I'm a bit biased.
