Bogor Market

I had planned a solo trip to the famous Bogor Botanical Gardens on the weekend, but there was quite a lot of interest in the office, so six of us hired a minibus and temporarily escaped inner-city Jakarta for the nearby town of Bogor and the surrounding countryside.

We left early and had such a good run with the generally notorious Jakarta traffic that we had some time to kill before the gardens opened. It was great fun to have a wander through the chaos of Bogor's market.

They were a very friendly bunch!

Shoe shine?

The local butcher

Taro

Dried fish ...

of every imaginable size and variety

Lots more from Bogor  next post.

    1. The peppers at least I could recognise. I'd love to have had a guide to lots of the other produce.
